Renegade Riddims: DUSHI

Born and raised in lively London’s Brixton, DUSHI is a producer and DJ indebted to a life spent raving. A child of the legendary Drum & Bass and free party scene that filled clubs and warehouses in the capital, DUSHI has carried that unique energy through to her own productions. Whether rolling out hardstep, liquid or jump-up, the open-minded spirit of rave is at the heart of both her productions and fluid, club-ready DJ sets.

DUSHI’s release schedule has been bolstered by wide support from a broad range of DJs, including plays on both Radio 1 and 1xtra from tastemakers such as Fabio and Grooverider, Friction, Bailey and René LaVice. A lifelong devotee to radio, she has also recorded guest mixes for Marcus Nasty on Rinse FM, Renegade Hardware on Reprezent, Capital FM and the Rework podcast series.

We premiered her track ‘Butterfly‘, which dropped on Inform Records a few weeks ago, and from that release, we knew we had to get her on Renegade Riddims. With her unique blend of melodic soulful sounds, combined with sharp production skills and an obvious natural musical talent, wherever DUSHI goes, it’s in her own words “peace, love and frequencies…”
