Renegade Riddims: DJ Amiah

Today, we welcome DJ Amiah to DT. Her journey started with a deep love for jungle music and the UK rave scene. A true Junglist through and through, she soaked up the sounds of the 90s from an early age before stepping behind the decks herself in 2022. Her debut set came at Into The Jungle, a live event presented by the Dub Pistols, where she made a bold entrance supporting big names like DJ Rap, Goldie, Grooverider, General Levy, Nicky Blackmarket, Uncle Dugs, Deekline, JFB, DJ Hype, Ed Solo and many more.

Her style is all about keeping the roots of jungle alive while still staying fresh and unpredictable. Amiah’s sets are packed with high-energy selections, blending classic jungle, rare underground cuts and rolling Drum & Bass with a natural flair for reading the crowd. Whether it’s a muddy festival field or a packed club, she knows how to bring the right vibe and keep it moving from start to finish.

She’s also built a strong following thanks to her positive energy and presence behind the decks. Her sets feel like a celebration of the culture that inspired her in the first place, and she’s become known for connecting with the crowd in a way that feels genuine and full of love for the music. Internationally, DJ Amiah made her debut at Maya Beach Club in Ko Tao, Thailand, and followed it up with a slot at Jungle Rumble Festival on Koh Phangan. Back in the UK, she’s played standout sets at Jungle Cakes events, Boomtown, Mucky Weekender, Shindig, Beat-Herder and Nibley Festival. She’s also featured on two radio shows for Kool FM, showcasing her sound to a wider audience.

Now heading into 2025, DJ Amiah has plenty lined up. She’s set to release her first original productions, offering a new chapter in her journey as both a DJ and an emerging producer. Her festival calendar is already stacked with appearances at Mucky Weekender, Hidden Festival, Camp Bestival, Music Barn, Try Fest, Lakefest, Moondance and others still to be announced. She’s also hitting the road with Kaya Fyah to support the legendary Dub Pistols on tour.

With her own tunes on the way, major bookings across the UK and beyond, and an ever-growing community of supporters behind her, DJ Amiah is building something real. 2025 is shaping up to be her biggest year yet!

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

My unreleased track Rudeboy Soldier, which I produced with Zylo, this is a banger!

What have you got coming up? 

Big things coming up! I’ve got a brand new EP dropping soon with Jungle Cakes, and I couldn’t be more hyped. Over the past few months, I’ve been deep in the studio working with the legends Deekline and Zylo—it’s been an incredible journey, and the energy we’ve created together is something special. One of the standout tracks, “Rudeboy Soldier”, will be featured as part of the EP, and trust me, it hits hard. Can’t wait to share this with all of you!

When was the last time you actually raved?

After my last performance with Kaya Fyah on tour with the Dub Pistols in Southend!

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?

This mix is a tribute to the roots and the future, crafted with love for the die-hard Junglists. The heads who know the history and the new generation keeping the fire alive! I dug deep into my Rekordbox collection for the old school flavours and laced them with the raw energy of the new wave. This mix was built for the ravers, the rollers and everyone in between.
