Renegade Riddims: Bluck

Share

Bluck is a London-based Drum & Bass DJ who is fully locked into the rhythm of the city. She is carving her own lane with a rolling jungle sound that nods to the foundations while pushing forward into the now. Her new Renegade Riddims mix is all about momentum, sweaty rooms and that moment when the bassline takes control, and the crowd answers back.

Bluck’s rise has been shaped by proper rooms. Steelyard. Corsica Studios. The Warehouse. O2 Academy Leeds. These are spaces where selection matters, and confidence is tested in real time. Her sets lean into rolling drums, elastic basslines and forward motion, balancing old school grit with new wave Drum & Bass weight. There is groove first, always, and the crowd response speaks for itself.

Sharing lineups with Chase & Status, Andy C, Hybrid Minds and Shy FX is a reflection of that trust. Bluck has already made her presence felt across key platforms, including Worried About Henry, Louder, Shogun Sessions and DJ Mag, locking into a circuit that values energy, control and connection over hype alone.

Her sound sits comfortably between jungle heritage and modern club pressure. It is built for dark basements, sweaty warehouses and those moments where the room tips from anticipation into release. Nothing forced. Nothing wasted. Just clean blends, rolling momentum and a clear sense of direction.

Away from the decks, Bluck is building something deeper. Alongside developing her own productions, she has grown a strong following through short-form videos exploring the neuroscience and psychology of raving. Why certain rhythms hit harder. Why drops trigger physical reactions. Why Drum & Bass works the way it does when the system is right and the crowd is locked in. It is thoughtful, accessible and rooted in genuine curiosity for the culture.

That blend of sharp selection, evolving sound and wider understanding sets her apart. Bluck is not just playing the scene; she is engaging with it on multiple levels and feeding that insight straight back into her sets.

Renegade Riddims has always been about artists who know where this music belongs. In the club. On big systems. In late-night moments where the bassline takes over, and everything else fades out. Bluck fits that space naturally.

The Renegade Riddims mix Bluck has curated features music from artists such as Bladerunner, Micky Finn & Aphrodite, Tantrum Desire, Bad Company, Rockwell, Dillinja, DJ Hybrid, Upgrade and loads more!

Lock in and stay close. Bluck’s momentum is building fast!

Sum up this mix in 10 words…

A fun blend of all things bouncy, jungley and reesey

What is your personal favourite track on it?

Bad From Morning feat. Flowdan (Taxman Remix) – Flowdan on a heavy rolling track, what’s not to love?

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

I have a few of Rockwell’s early 2010 stuff in this mix (although I rinse these tracks in most my sets) – his stuff is just so cool and unique!

What have you got coming up?

I have a few exciting sets lined up for next year (although they’re not announced yet), but now that club season is winding down, I’m actually really looking forward to a calmer period to focus on production. I ended up having a much busier club season than I expected, so naturally my production took a bit of a back seat!

When was the last time you actually raved?

Shogun Aessions last week – these are probably my favourite events in London. It’s such a shame Corsica Studios is shutting, but I’m glad I got to go to the last Shogun Sessions there!

Do you have a special message for our readers?

Support your local nights — the scene really needs it. And don’t be afraid to step outside your usual: go to different events, and if you’re an artist, challenge yourself to make or mix something completely outside your style. I’ve grown a lot this year by drawing inspiration from other genres. Speaking of…I run a regular night with Anny under our brand Circuit Sounds, where we encourage artists to experiment with different styles, and we also give new talent their first sets.
