Renegade Riddims: AIRGLO

Mikael Oganes, the LA-based producer better known as AIRGLO, is a name that’s been making serious noise across the Drum & Bass underground. Forged through classical training in Eastern Europe and refined at some of the world’s most prestigious music institutions, he brings a level of compositional depth to the dancefloor that sets him apart from the pack. Technical precision meets raw melodic intensity in every production, and that combination has turned heads fast.

His catalogue carries the kind of label weight that speaks for itself. Releases on Ram Records, Bassrush and Night Bass have put AIRGLO in front of the right ears, earning support from Andy C, Sub Focus, Dimension and A.M.C. On the collaboration front, he’s linked up with Macky Gee, North Base, Deekline, 12th Planet, Scrufizzer, AC Slater and Captain Bass, with more in the pipeline alongside Mandidextrous, Turno, Inja and Pav4n.

The live shows have been just as relentless. AIRGLO has torn through Insomniac’s flagship events, including EDC and Nocturnal Wonderland, alongside festival heavyweight Tomorrowland, with dates stretching across London, Paris and the wider US and European circuit.

Rooted deep in the underground but reaching global stages, AIRGLO is building something that’s only getting louder.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?

Rise Again would be my latest favorite track that I have been rinsing a lot recently, but Sunlight is also Fav. 

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

Hours and hours of love and homegrown dubs, a little dash of nostalgia and heavy drops 

Tell us about your next release…

I just released my collab with AC13 and Reaper – super excited about it finally coming out, plus I got some amazing stuff coming out in the next couple of months. So stay tuned! 

What have you got coming up? 

I can’t spoil but trust me lots and lots of music is going to be coming out. Collab with Teddy Killerz, Dossa, Vegas and Many more 

When was the last time you actually raved?

Last week, and about to go hang out backstage at the Apocalypse fest. Looking forward to it!
