Objectiv drops ‘Longing / Slow Down’ on Intrigue

Intrigue Music welcomes Objectiv back to the label for this standout two-track release ‘Longing / Slow Down’. After making his debut earlier this year with the track ‘Ghost’ as part of the ‘Anniversary Collection’ LP, this release marks the debut artist-led project for Intrigue Music from this rising talent.

Felix H. aka Objectiv is a Drum & Bass producer based in Bristol. With a focus on explorative bass sound design and heavy-hitting drum work, he’s previously been penned by labels as one of the most exciting young heads in the scene.

‘Longing’ was written with Collette Warren, marking his first time working with a live vocalist. Her lyrics, aimed at avoiding pessimistic people and focussing on positivity, were penned during lockdown – a time when avoiding the negative energy was even more crucial. The exceptional vocals combine with a heavy bass as the tune progresses, contrasting perfectly.

‘Slow Down’ is a perfect slice of RnB-infused liquid Drum & Bass, sampling the original mid-2000s vibes combined with Korean pop to create this classy, sun-drenched summer roller.
