Myselor Goes Deeper Into ‘Cosmic Expression’ With ‘Waves Of Change’

Evolution Chamber drop sampler two from Myselor‘s ‘Cosmic Expression’ album, and the deeper this one digs, the better it gets.

Following on from ‘Breaking Chains’, ‘Waves Of Change’ lands on 19th June and pushes the concept further into transformation, perception and the unseen forces shaping human experience. Where the first sampler was about confronting limitation, this one is about acceptance. Nothing stays still, and neither does this music.

Myselor, aka Dimitrios Chasouras, has spent over a decade building a name for himself as one of electronic music’s more thoughtful storytellers. Originally from Greece, now based in Basel, his catalogue runs through the ‘Evolution’, ‘Rebirth’, ‘Soul Power’ and ‘Intuition’ EPs, each one adding another layer to a sound built on atmosphere and emotional weight rather than easy hooks.

Three tracks here, each pulling in a different direction. The title cut ‘Waves Of Change’ is the moment transformation stops feeling threatening and starts feeling necessary, layered percussion and sweeping cinematic textures colliding under evolving melodic pressure. ‘Open Sky’ opens things right out, atmospheric and expansive, all distance and freedom and self-imposed limits dissolving in real time. Then ‘Enigma’ closes the chapter on something darker and more fragmented, comfortable sitting in unresolved tension rather than tying things up neatly.

Genre lines don’t get much respect here. Neurofunk, cinematic electronica, downtempo textures and experimental sound design all bleed into one another, prioritising mood and narrative over functional dancefloor mechanics. Think less club weapon, more headphone odyssey. There are echoes of Billain’s ‘Mirror’ in the way Myselor treats the album as a world to build rather than a tracklist to fill.

‘Cosmic Expression’ is shaping up to be one of the more ambitious conceptual projects in the scene right now, and ‘Waves Of Change’ is the proof that the depth isn’t running out anytime soon.
