Play Me Records kicks off 2026 with their 14th release, and they are not here to ease you in gently. ‘Big Stamina’ from UK veteran Lee UHF and Argentinian producer Noise Souls lands with the kind of weight that makes you rethink your weekend plans.
Play Me has always had a nose for talent before it blows up. Dillon Francis, Bro Safari, MUST DIE! and Figure all came through the label early, back when the push mattered most. That instinct for the right artist at the right time is still very much alive, and this link-up is proof of it.
Lee’s story starts in the late 90s, cutting his teeth in hardcore, running events, pressing vinyl, and headlining main stages worldwide. By the late 2000s he had found his footing in Drum & Bass, chasing something darker and more purposeful. After stepping back from touring with his Dirtbox project in the late 2010s, the focus went inward. Labels, studio sessions, rebuilding from the ground up.
That is where Nic, known as Noise Souls, enters the picture. Sharp, technical, relentless in the studio. The two first connected in 2022, with Nic contributing productions to Lee’s Dirtbox label. By summer 2025, conversations about Lee’s back catalogue turned into Nic pushing him to finish tracks that had been sitting in the vault for years. Since December 2025, they have stacked nine releases together. No gaps. Just momentum.
‘Big Stamina’ is exactly what that name suggests. Long sessions, loops run until they click, hours of patience before anything shifts. The track carries that energy directly into the mix, the kind of rolling, grinding pressure that belongs in sweaty warehouses and rooftop raves where nobody is watching the clock. It is disciplined, focused, and built to move a room.
This one is for the selectors and the dancers who know what they are listening for.
