Koax debuts on Transparent Audio with ‘Jagged’ EP

With a sonic palette embedded in foundations of minimalism, laced with shades of neuro, and defined by its rhythmic complexity, Transparent Audio are delighted to announce that Bristol-based Koax is finally landing his debut EP on the label with an almighty four-track extravaganza. Including features from Geostatic, Creatures, and Grafta MC, the ‘Jagged’ EP is every bit as sonically serrated as the title suggests.

Diving straight into the headline track, ‘Jagged’ sees the Koax set the tone with an intricately rhythmic pattern of steppy drums and a flurry of scintillating synths, embracing the use of space.

‘Ghosts’, ups the tempo in the form of a dark, almost phantom-like selection of basses, laced with spooky reverbed percussion knocks and hits to create suspense, whilst ‘Promise‘, Koax’s collaborative track with Transparent Audio’s family member Geostatic, sees the duo get deep and dirty with unholy levels of groove and grit.

Polishing off the project in a fittingly underground fashion, Koax’s track ‘Solidarity’ with London-Based, Grafta MC sees itself reworked by Creatures to deliver a fast-paced, vocal-infused concoction that features bars just as pristine as the production.
