Frame drops his ‘Havana’ EP on Parallel Depth
Italian producer Frame joins the Spanish family at Parallel Depth with a wonky EP entitled ‘Havana’ consisting of four tracks showcasing versatility and loads of style. It holds together a variant of subgenres: deep, tech-step, old-school and even a good bit of jazz.
After getting noticed by Vision Radio for his previous work in the also Italian firm The Dreamers Recordings, Frame put his next step on Parallel Depth. He’s also released in other interesting labels such as Delta9, Influenza or Terra Firma.
The first track we find in this four-tracker is ‘Lonely Funk’. Maybe the ‘Al Pacino’ of the Drum & Bass songs, it could even be the next 007 soundtrack! Jazzy and dark as fuck, nothing else to add.
The second tune is ‘The Ladies’. Wonky shit, believe what I’m telling you. A roller so fresh it can cool your nan’s hot chocolate. This one is definitely for the ravers.
The third track is the concept track for the EP. ‘Havana’ is one for the old-school lovers. It has a steppy pattern with amen breaks and dirty basslines. A purist sound for the truest heads.
To close the EP we find ‘The Octopus’, a collaboration between Frame and Base. This one’s a techstep power-track designed for use in the dance only.
Today we premiere ‘The Octopus’ which you check out below. Frame drops his ‘Havana’ EP tomorrow (25th July 2021), make sure you grab a copy from the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player!
