DRZ drops new single ‘Like U’ on Crucast

Reading-based producer DRZ returns to Crucast with ‘Like U’, a solo single that balances dancefloor drive with melodic reach, arriving off the back of a strong run of collaborations and a Beatport-charting EP.

DRZ has spent the past few years building steadily rather than loudly. He has released music across Crucast, DNB Allstars, and STMPD, developing a sound that sits at the intersection of peak-time energy and melodic warmth. This balance has earned him support from Sub Focus, Pendulum, and Circadian and kept his music relevant across both DJ sets and listening contexts.

That momentum solidified with the ‘Losing It’ EP, which charted highly on the Beatport Drum & Bass releases chart and demonstrated his capacity for writing records with staying power beyond the initial buzz. A run of collaborative work followed, including releases alongside Sub Zero and El Pablo, each of which added to a growing catalogue without diluting the identity behind it.

‘Like U’ marks his first solo release of the year and his first on Crucast in 2026. It is a record that draws on the strengths established across that earlier work: rhythmic drive, clean arrangement, and an emotional register that gives the track its replay value. The melodic elements carry without overreaching; the dancefloor construction holds without becoming rigid. It is the kind of single that works in a peak-time slot and lingers afterwards.

For DRZ, it is another well-placed step. The trajectory here is unhurried and deliberate, built on output that consistently delivers rather than makes promises. ‘Like U’ reinforces the case for him as one of the more credible emerging names in UK Drum & Bass right now.

Today we have the YouTube premiere of ‘Like U’ which you can check out below. The single drops today, Friday 15th May. Grab your copy here!
