Draize & Kelayx collab on new single on Drum Army

What happens when the founders of two different labels get together on a third label for a release? Exactly what Drum Army’s next upcoming single is. An interesting mix of beats, styles and vibes – but first and foremost a huge amount of collective passion!

Draize cover

Drum Army are pleased to bring us the collaboration from English Lost Recordings label founder Draize and the Russian Citate Forms label head Kelayx. This single is a great example of how collaborative and international Drum & Bass has become.

Draize aka James Ramsbotham has been musically driven since his mid-teens. He used to listen to bands like The Smiths, Joy Division and The Stone Roses. He was, however, unsure of what exactly he wanted to do with this passion for sound. Draize discovered Drum & Bass during secondary school after (as so many did and still do) “borrowing” Drum&BassArena Presents DJ Hype from his sister.

Being introduced to an eclectic bag of tracks from the genre such as Lynx ‘Disco Dodo’ and ‘Carnival’, High Contrast ‘If We Ever’, Commix ‘Be True’, Noisia & Phace ‘Cannonball’ and Original Sin ‘Don’t Be Silly’. All of these tracks laid the foundations for Draize’s musical journey.

Draize and Kelayx’s single on Drum Army is appropriately entitled ‘Lost Forms’ and is an absolute belter! Our premiere today is Draize Ft. Kat James ‘Ivy’ while Kelayx ‘Stop’ is on the flip.

Check out Draize Ft. Kat James ‘Ivy’ below and make sure you grab the single when it drops on 25th September.
