DJ Sly drops 5 brand new killer cuts on Liondub
Next up for Liondub International is the second ‘Street Series EP’ of 2020, and the 41st in the collection, this time from DJ Sly, a true legend and pioneer of the Jungle/Drum & Bass scene.
It was back in the early 90s at the age of 15, Sly performed for the first time in his career alongside Andy C and Randall at the historic ‘Telepathy’ rave. Within no time he had secured himself a residency at ‘Hysteria’ and ‘Jungle Fever’ and a coveted ‘Super Sunday’ slot on Kool FM. Going from strength to strength, Sly began producing alongside Ego Trippin and went on to release a massive catalogue including hits like ‘Twilight Zone’, ‘Fifth Dimension’ and ‘Monkey Fist’ on Logan D‘s Low Down Deep label. Afterwards, DJ Sly formed his own Higher Stakes imprint to great success permanently imprinting the Jump Up sound on the DnB scene.
DJ Sly has won multiple awards, toured the world, and is still producing massive Jump Up cuts without any sign of slowing down. Liondub International have selected 5 brand new cuts from Sly that clearly demonstrate the raw power and intensity of his sound. Another massive stepping stone for Liondub’s Street Series, and most definitely one for the history books.
Today we premiere ‘Disco Hall’ which wraps up the EP and features the vocal talents of RepTile Rock. ‘Disco Hall’ begins by taking us back to the Jungle roots before Sly’s unmistakable Jump Up sound kicks in.
