CTRL-S drops ‘Re-Entry’ on Nemesis Recordings
CTRL-S (formerly known as Controlled Substance, and one-half of the duo known as Illformants) is an LA-based producer with releases on labels such as Moving Shadow, Subtitles, Project 51, Nemesis Recordings, Warm Communications, and Thermal Recordings, to name a few.
His music career started in the San Francisco Bay area after earning a degree in Audio Engineering at university. He’s been making music and experimenting with sound since the late ’90s and his work ranges from dance format vinyl, to sound design for games and TV adverts.
Recently he’s focused his efforts on creating music with a cinematic, story-driven approach. His latest release for Nemesis Recordings, ‘Re-Entry’, is centered around a science fiction narrative concept.
This is the second release for CTRL-S on Nemesis, following on from his track ‘Durty Sound’ which appears on the 10 Years of Nemesis LP.
Nemesis Recordings was formed in 2005 by North Base‘s DJ Silver who thought it would be a good place to put out the love he has for jungle/drum & bass music.
Now with over 30 releases on the label Nemesis boasts it has opened the doors and nurtured a lot of key artists and top producers on the dance music scene today such as Skream, A-Sides, Dub Phizix, Zed Bias, Chimpo, and many more. Nemesis continues to bring different styles of drum and bass music to the table from Jump up, Liquid DnB, IDM, Dubstep, Techstep and many many more.
Today we premiere ‘CTRL-S ‘Re-Entry’ which drops on 27th December. ‘Re-Entry’ is hard and heavy and guaranteed to tear up dancefloors! Check it out below and engage bass face!
