Since it’s inception in 1997, Matrix’s Metro Recordings has always been celebrated as a beacon of quality. Now, Matrix has enlisted Askm3 to provide the next chapter in the imprint’s catalogue.
Askm3 is just 17 years old and hails from Norway. His youth completely contradicts his formidable production talents. First taking inspiration from the likes of Fox Stevenson, Gyrofield and Finneas, Askm3 became firmly hooked on Drum & Bass and now he delivers his own distinctly original take on the genre.
‘Don’t Run’ opens with a distinctly futuristic vocal performance, backed up by an intense and unsettling atmospheric soundscape. Using a highly bespoke palette of sonic ingredients, Askm3 brings a uniquely fluid groove to the drop, showcasing his innovative approach perfectly.
