RepostExchange has just landed a big one.
The artist-to-artist promotion platform is now an official SoundCloud partner, marking the biggest milestone in its history since launching in 2017.
Built for SoundCloud creators, RepostExchange has grown into a robust community engine, with more than half a million artists signed up and over 50,000 genuine interactions on the platform every day. Just artists helping push each other’s music further.
There’s history here too. Before RepostExchange, the team built audiu.net in 2014 to connect artists with feedback and production services, then soundcloudgroups.com, which helped creators organise by genre and support each other’s tracks. RepostExchange came out of that same spirit, community first, music first.
The new SoundCloud partnership opens the door for some useful upgrades. Partner API access means better tools and new features are on the way. Plays through the RepostExchange website and app are now eligible for monetisation for artists on SoundCloud Artist or Artist Pro plans. There are also exclusive SoundCloud deals coming, with a RepostExchange x SoundCloud bundle in the works.
On top of that, expect co-hosted remix competitions, content features, editorial opportunities, and early access to new SoundCloud features.
For independent artists using SoundCloud as part of their release and promo strategy, this is a proper win. RepostExchange has always been about real engagement between real creators. Now it has SoundCloud’s official stamp to back it up.
More announcements are coming soon.
Keep an eye on this one.
