Disco Infiltrators Serves Up ‘SXY’ from Oh! L’Amour
Share
Disco Infiltrators continue their run with SXY, a record that nods to classic disco attitude while keeping one foot firmly in the present. It’s playful without being throwaway, and built with the dancefloor firmly in mind.
Oh! L’Amour leans into a sound that feels familiar but never dated, drawing on retro influences while shaping them with modern club sensibilities. The result is a track that feels confident rather than kitsch, focused on feel and movement rather than nostalgia for its own sake.
At the centre of SXY is a warm, elastic bassline that sets the tone from the opening bars. Tight drums, crisp hats and sharp stabs layer in gradually, keeping the groove rolling and the energy bubbling without ever tipping into excess. It’s designed to sit comfortably in a DJ set and quietly take control of the room.
This is the kind of record that works best when the lights are low and the crowd is locked in. Think Studio 54 club where groove matters more than spectacle and every record needs to earn its place.
Out now on Disco Infiltrators, SXY reinforces the label’s direction, forward-facing disco house that respects its roots without being trapped by them. A solid pick for DJs who value rhythm, restraint and a bit of character in their selections.
