Tel Aviv talent Rafael debuts on Moon Harbour

Share

Moon Harbour looks to fast-rising Tel Aviv talent Rafael for its latest release ‘Deep Dope’.

Rafael has had a burning passion for underground sounds for a decade now. His own productions are a hybrid of house, tech and minimal and always come with subtle hooks and catchy grooves. He’s worked with labels like High Mountain Records, Way Way and Irregular and now steps it up for Moon Harbour.

The brilliant ‘Deep Dope’ is a simple but effective house weapon. The drums are tight as they ping beneath a twisted mix of synths and raw percussion. The chunky groove has a tribal feel and the bass envelops it all in real warmth. Chopped-up vocal samples add fuel to the fire of this most steamy and high-impact tech cut.

This is a perfect signature sound from Rafael.

We premiere ‘Deep Dope’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
