Synth Ethics & Was A Be remix Ed:it’s ‘Viscera’

Everyone loves a banging remix, I’m certainly one of them. Historically one of the most fun and exciting projects to put together. Lifestyle Music are back with the third edition of their Lifestyle Remixed series!

It’s a pretty simple recipe: they take bangers, give them to some sick producers, who turn them into further bangers. It’s wicked, it works and the results are always fantastic. Previous editions have seen some god-tier combinations: Zero T & Revaux, Ill Truth & Lockjaw, and Signal & Vorso, to name but a few.

For this edition, Lifestyle Music have delved deep into their back catalogue for a mixture of deep cuts and stand-out bangers and got some of their favourite producers to break them into bits and build them back up again. The tracklist speaks for itself, but it’s got to be heard to be believed! You’ve got Wingz remixing Black Barrel, Revaux taking on dutch newcomer DOt., the mighty Black Barrel reworking the breakout banger ‘Africa’, the boy wonder himself Klinical remixing Nami’s iconic ‘Inside ft ‘Lo’, Fre4knc taking on an Objectiv banger, as well as Danger’s competition-winning remix of ‘Vermin’. Bossman Animus twists up Revaux & Charli Brix’s ‘Colours’, one of Lifestyle Music’s biggest tunes of 2018 ‘Riot’ by Combine and Klippee getting a seriously brucked out edit by Enta, and Belgian badboys Glÿph take on Nami’s ’Shake The Universe’ to truly galactic planes, wicked.

As well as all that, to celebrate ten years as a label, Lifestyle Music have also reached all the way back to LFS020, and got Synth Ethics & Was A Be to team up, reworking ‘Viscera’ by Ed:it – updating the banger 7.5 years after it’s initial release! Crafting it into a big, stinky stepper, beautiful stuff.

You can probably imagine the program; it’s all kept pretty dark and dangerous this time around, complex bass design leaks out all over the shop, and there’s not much relenting from start to finish, but let’s face it…would us heads have it any other way?!
