Scream Soda Records launches with ‘Workin’ EP’ by Steve Robinson.

Steve Robinson is the consummate House DJ; creating soundscapes that liquefy the soul and embrace you with warm beats and sumptuous basslines. The infectious grooves that are a constant throughout his music are influenced by the sounds of House, Techno, Soul and Jazz; offering up a sophisticated experience that heightens the senses and moves the feet. Hailing originally from Liverpool, UK, Steve has been playing for over 2 decades initially influenced by the Jackin’ sounds of Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak and DJ Heather.

After releasing on esteemed labels such as Robsoul, Purveyor Underground & Too Many Rules, Steve launches this brand new imprint as a platform for championing new and quality underground electronic music, inspired by the jackin house sounds of Chicago and New York.

Workin’ EP is a two-track affair that packs a punch. The vibes range from the juggernaut lead track ‘Workin’ with its bumping, relentless energy and Lil’ Louie influences, to the B side ‘The Funk Gym’ putting you through your paces with its addictive groove and driving bassline.

These are timeless house cuts guaranteed to light up any party, always Workin’ to provide the vibes!

We premiere ‘The Funk Gym’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.
