Simina Grigoriu returns to DCLTD on 12th June with her new Frame Control EP, and we’re premiering ‘Liminality’.
The Berlin-based producer, Kuukou Records boss and long-time techno head keeps things locked with four cuts built for proper rooms. After previous DCLTD outings Declare Me and Divine Assignment, Simina sounds sharp, direct and fully in control.
There’s a real sense of purpose across Frame Control. It does not chase big moments for the sake of it. The EP moves with discipline, all rolling pressure, clean percussion and low-end weight, the sort of toolkit that makes sense in a dark room when the lights are low and the system is doing the talking.
‘Liminality’ is the deeper weapon on the EP. Propulsive drums, spacious pressure and shifting details all work together without overcooking it. It sits in that sweet spot between heads-down warehouse tension and peak-time release. Just a strong techno record doing exactly what it should.
