The Kuukou Records boss is back doing what she does best, fusing relentless drive with that signature Berlin edge. Simina’s been killing it for over a decade, with releases on Drumcode, We Are The Brave, OFF, and of course, her own ever-rising label Kuukou. If you’ve been on a dancefloor lately, chances are you’ve already moved to one of her cuts.

On her new two-tracker ‘Arkana / Partners Of Destiny’ (TERM246), Simina Grigoriu goes full throttle. ‘Arkana’ is a no-nonsense stomper with a pulsing bassline, stuttering synth stabs, and more bounce than a Berghain stairwell at 6am. It’s dark, it’s hypnotic, and it’s got just enough funk to make you lose it mid-mix.
