Sergio Bennett & Jee Bear combine on ‘Groove On’

Sergio Bennett and Jee Bear sign the new release of Yet! Records, titled ‘Groove On’. The EP, which features remixes by David Jach and Steve Hope, will be released on September 14.

The transatlantic label Yet! Records could not let the summer come to an end without releasing one of its incendiary references, even more so if we consider that it is number 20. This time Sergio Bennett and Jee Bear, two of the usual thinking heads of the platform, have come together to create “Groove On”.

The original theme does not disappoint with its name and presents us with a track starring the rhythm and seasoned with a science fiction aura. The authors opt for a long-term format that allows them to make the subject more complex as it progresses under a framework of increasing tension. The layers of elements multiply without you being aware or able to foresee it until suddenly you find yourself in the eye of the hurricane. The calm does not last long because the subject explodes once again around you declaring you in technical KO.

The reference is completed with two remixes. One is the work of the German David Jach who dispenses with the vowels and opts for adding multiple changes of nature to the track. And another by the Austrian Steve Hope who recovers the vowels and opts for a succession of increasing climaxes.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
