Rhoowax lands on Hottrax with his three-track ‘Boogeyman’ EP, and we’re premiering the title cut.

Continuing its run of fresh names, Jamie Jones’ Hottrax welcomes Italian producer Rhoowax for his debut on the label with a three-tracker that leans into funk, disco and classic house, but keeps its feet planted firmly on the dancefloor. The EP lands on 17th April 2026, with pre-orders now live.

Already known for releases on Elrow Limited, MOXY MUZIK and Stereo Productions, Rhoowax has been building a sound that’s groove-heavy, punchy and built for proper club use. On ‘Boogeyman’, that comes through straight away. The record was sparked by a deep dive into 90s soul and funk, taking a nod from KC and The Sunshine Band’s ‘I’m Your Boogie Man’ and twisting that energy into a tight, rolling house cut that feels playful without losing any bite.

The rest of the EP keeps things moving. ‘Uno Dos Tres’ looks back to the early house records that shaped his sound, with subtle touches that point toward labels like Strictly Rhythm, while ‘What Time Is It?’ goes for a more direct, driving approach aimed squarely at bigger rooms and peak-time moments.

It’s a strong first outing on Hottrax from a producer who clearly understands what makes a groove work. And if ‘Boogeyman’ is anything to go by, this one should do some damage once it lands this Friday, 17th April 2026.
