Premiere: Denis Horvat – Severina

Share

AEON Regular Denis Horvat returns to the AEON imprint with the eagerly anticipated three track EP ‘LODI’. Already finding support form a plethora of the scene’s biggest artists including Dixon, Âme, and Adriatique

Opening with title track ‘Lodi’, Horvat quickly sets the tone on this release. As sequences of hypnotic synths draw the listener in, the gravelly bass line drops, taking this track to a much darker place.  Our debut transmission ‘Severina’ shifts the EP to a more industrial soundscape. The introduction of quasar-like synths and deeply atmospheric beat formations build anticipation, before dropping into a huge, rolling bass line. ‘Severina’ effortlessly stands alone as a strong single in it’s own right, whilst cleverly remaining coherent to the overall release. Whilst rounding off the release package with ‘The Task’, Horvat makes another noticeable shift in pace.
