POoK Deflection Remix of Ross Harper ‘Narcissist’

Share

For Vol.5 of the remixes of Ross Harper’s acclaimed ’The Dark Album’, Harper brings things close to home by inviting fellow Brighton resident POoK to present an interpretation of ‘Narcissist’. POok is rooted in early 90s rave culture and this rave energy is continually infused into his productions.

POok fearlessly cruises between breakbeat and techno, just like the early 90s hardcore techno producers did and his rework of Narcissist is no different. This is a 100% drum focussed belter that takes the already intense stabs of Narcissist and carves them into a high-energy bulldozer that shouts to all who are listening, “get dancing or move out of the way”

We premiere the remix on NUDE Techno, check it out here and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
