Omari & Le Modo keep Rebellion rolling with ‘That’s Right’

There’s plenty happening on the flip.

Omari & Le Modo make their Rebellion debut with the ‘Pressure Loop’ EP today, 2nd October 2026, and we’ve got the premiere of ‘That’s Right’, a vocal-led roller with a bit of attitude.

The two-tracker brings Manchester’s Omari together with Dutch producer Le Modo for their first collaborative release on Damian Lazarus’ imprint. Their influences come from different corners of house music, but rhythm is the common ground. Omari draws on garage, hip-hop and disco, while Le Modo brings a Detroit-influenced touch to the partnership.

Omari has been building his catalogue through releases on neXup recz, Mood Child, ILLUSTRATE and Front Left Recordings, alongside his own Ouroneo label. Tight percussion, weighty basslines and vocal hooks run through his work, giving this collaboration a solid foundation before the pair start pushing each other into fresh territory.

The title track sets things in motion with a hypnotic Shepard tone, creating the impression of a sound that keeps climbing. Intricate percussion builds around it, keeping the groove locked while the tension rises. It’s a fitting introduction to the EP, with enough drum movement to keep that central idea working.

But our pick sits on the other side. Omari & Le Modo’s ‘That’s Right’ puts its vocal front and centre, recounting the night’s exploits over a punchy, rolling groove. There’s a playful streak to it, with the vocal bringing character and the percussion keeping the pressure on. A useful combination when the room is busy and the next record needs to get straight to work.

For Omari, the release also marks the start of a longer partnership. He describes the EP as the first of several collaborations with Le Modo, crediting their work together with pushing both their sound and creative energy. Landing on Rebellion gives that partnership a strong opening chapter.
