N3ptune drops his ‘Unknown Proximity’ EP

Share

Drum Army welcome Swiss producer N3ptune to the family with his debut EP ‘Unknown Proximity’.

Starting off with two turntables and a mixer back in 2009, it turned into a dream when N3ptune decided he wanted to pursue a career in the music business. He began producing in 2010 and has been doing so ever since.

A few years later, tracks have been refined, remixes have been done and so in late in 2018 he eventually landed his first solo release on a Drum Army compilation.

He also plays an important part in the Drum and Bass scene in Basel as a part of the RANDOM Crew, which he joined in back 2014. From there he has built relationships with a lot of DJs and Producers from all over the World and has played alongside DJs like Mefjus, Ivy Lab, Roygreen & Protone, Spectrasoul and Bredren just to name a few.

His style consists of techy, steppy, heavy rollers and combining a touch of Soul, brings it all together for our listening pleasure.

“N3ptune is one of those undiscovered Drum & Bass pearls who should be getting much more attention than he currently is” – Drum Army

N3ptune’s ‘Unknown Proximity’ EP opens up with our premiere for today ‘Decoder’ which is true to his style, a straight banging techy, roller! ‘Smudge’ follows which is another absolute banger but a bit deeper with heavy drums and a wubby bassline. The 3rd track is ‘Suspicion’ which is more atmospheric with a dirty midline. The EP closes with a remix by Austrian artist Blackleaf who has done a techy rolling version of N3ptunes halftime Drum & Bass tune ‘Gravemind’ which Drum Army released a while ago.

All in all this EP is a strong debut for the rising star, and we think he’s got to be one to keep our eyes on over the coming months.

Check out N3ptune ‘Decoder’ below. The ‘Unknown Proximity’ EP drops today (7th February) via Drum Army, make sure you grab your copy from here
