Italian artist MARTiNi (ITA) makes his debut on RAW CUTZ with his latest EP, titled “Oopsie Gary.”
The opening track, titled “Oopsie Gary,” fully marries the label’s distinctive sound: raw, edgy sounds with a solid groove and glitch elements. The focal points of the track are the reversal sounds and the vocals, which make the whole thing dark but at the same time very dribbling.
The EP’s second track, “Riddim,” continues on the same wavelength as the opening track, maintaining a sonic consistency that explicitly recalls 00′ minimal culture. The track is distinguished by a hypnotic bass line that immediately captures the listener, while the intentionally rough and dirty sound effects add a rough and authentic dimension to the composition.
This ep not only reflects the label’s aesthetic but elevates it, offering a composition that is as innovative as it is true to the genre’s roots.
We premiere the lead track ‘Oopsie Gary’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.
