MAE917 drops new EP on Strictly Deep DNB

Arturo Zamudio is known professionally as MAE917, a Mexican/American record producer, instrumentalist and DJ originating from El Paso, Texas. Growing up he found his love for unique electronic music with the likes of Aphex Twin and The Prodigy. Developing his production MAE917’s thirst for wildly diverse futurism led to his own creative stamp on experimental genres such as Drum and Bass, UKG, Dubstep and Trip-Hop.

MAE917 holds his later influences within a unique blend of Psy-trance, Drum & Bass and Progressive Rock. Though noting the breakthrough influential moment, it was Dubstep that sealed the deal for MAE917 after experiencing a killer headlining set from Broken Note at a private underground party.

From that night MAE917 found himself in love with the wobble bass, high reverb snares and delved deeper into the network actively following artists like Reso, Xilent, Rusko, Venetian Snare and Square-Pusher. Currently surfing on his Space Music wave MAE917 combines the energy of epic Trance melodies with some seriously rude drum beats.

On the 30th of March, MAE917 will release his 4 track EP ‘Frosted Forest’ as a free download on Strictly Deep DNB. This EP reflects the varying styles he produces, with the title track showing off his ability to create lush soundscapes, topped off with ethereal vocals that make you feel like you are floating in space. The track is immediately available to buy through MAE917’s personal Bandcamp.
