M.F.S: Observatory releases their ‘Donde Estas’ EP

M.F.S: Observatory makes a welcome return with the ‘Dónde Estás’ EP on Canadian house label Griffintown Records.

M.F.S: Observatory is a London based artist who has shown his talents on the likes of Glasgow Underground, Kneaded Pains, FORM Music and more in the past, and he comes correct one again with this new 3 tracker!!

First up, Dónde Estás brings chunky house funk. The hi hats are razor sharp and the bass is big and bulky, with some smart vocal samples adding extra spice. Africa then gets more percussive, with a slinky groove detail with plenty of choppy hits and hats. An alluring vocal grows ever more prominent in the mix and is joined by some tribal chants that really finish it in style. Baby finishes in ravey fashion with chattery claps, raw piano stabs that light up the whole track.

These are three varied and vital cuts.

We premiere ‘Baby’ on Data Transmission, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
