Lousy Lover lands on Witty Tunes with ‘Jabberwocky’

Share

Lousy Lover (US) drops his ‘Jabberwocky’ EP on Witty Tunes this 6th March, and we’re premiering the title track right here on Data Transmission.

Witty Tunes keeps its Miami link strong with this one, welcoming a selector who’s been shaping floors from Little Havana to Brooklyn. Kristian Acosta, better known as Lousy Lover, isn’t just another name on the lineup. He runs Lisa’s Kickback, pushes his Felt streetwear imprint, and has already clocked releases on Nervous Records and Mr. Nice Guy. Proper foundations.

‘Jabberwocky’ is built for the late shift. Tight drums. Snapping hats. A low-end bounce that rolls without forcing it. It’s clean but carries grit, the kind of groove that settles into a basement system and does the work for you. No gimmicks, just pressure and swing in the right places.

On the flip, he links with Nate Chapman for ‘Get Up (Runners Dub)’, adding extra punch and a vocal hook that cuts through when the room’s already locked.

But today it’s about the A-side. ‘Jabberwocky’ feels like Miami at 2am, humid, tight, and fully dialled.

We’ve got the premiere. Stream Lousy Lover’s ‘Jabberwocky’ below and grab the full EP on Beatport from 6th March.
