Kelayx returns to Citate Forms
At the beginning of 2005 Russian electronic music enthusiast, Geraskin Kirill aka Kelayx began to change his musical preferences, moving from such artists as The Prodigy, Moby, Chemical Brothers, Bomfunk MC’s etc on to Drum & Bass. The early works of producers and DJs of the genre such as Aphrodite, Gridlok, Dillinja, Goldie and DJ Hype helped push him in this direction.
A few years later, after familiarizing himself with broken beats and rhythms he had a huge desire to become a part of the culture. In the summer of 2007, Kelayx started to write Drum & Bass music. He didn’t have much success at that time. Fast forward a few years, he began to garner interest from some labels. At first, there were domestic labels, then British, Canadian, Mexican and even some Spanish labels! The result was achieved thanks to his friend and partner in collaborations Pavel Noulan, who he still writes new tracks with to this day! Kelayx and Noulan prefer the laidback style of Drum & Bass – Liquid Funk. They have seen their releases in the TOP100 of Beatport and BreakBeat.co.uk charts on more than one occasion!
In 2015 Kelayx decided it was time to start his own label, Citate Forms. Now for their 42nd release and to celebrate their 4th birthday Kelayx is back on his label for the first time in 3 years with some fresh new music. Dropping on Monday 9th Kelayx delivers his ‘Script’ EP. Today we premiere the title track which stays true to his liquid funk style.
