Jewel Kid makes his Rekids debut with 'Explicit Behaviour'

Jewel Kid lands on Radio Slave’s Rekids this Friday, 14th August, making his label debut with the three-track ‘Explicit Behaviour’ EP and we’re premiering the title cut.

The Malta-based producer has spent the best part of two decades turning out house music for labels including Toolroom and Abode, while running his own Alleanza imprint. There’s plenty of history there too, from winning Carl Cox’s Worldwide Remix Competition to regular appearances around the sharp end of the Beatport charts.

Jewel Kid’s ‘Explicit Behaviour’ gets straight to work. Swirling synths, sirens and filtered vocals build the pressure before chunky drums, sharp percussion and those classic piano stabs take over. It has that proper big-room Rekids weight without losing the groove, built for dark rooms, festival tents and the point in the night where things start getting a little less sensible.

The rest of the EP keeps the pressure on, with ‘In The Dance’ pulling from early Chicago house and ‘The Tribute’ closing things out with rolling drums, fuzzy synths and sweeping filters.
