JB Martinz locks in with ‘Terminator’ on SB Recordings

Share

JB Martinz is back on SB Recordings with ‘Terminator’, landing 12th June on Loco Dice’s imprint.

The Peruvian DJ and producer returns after his 2024 label outing ‘Toma Pao’, bringing another sharp, drum-heavy cut built for busy booths and sweaty rooms. Based in Santiago, Martinz has been shaping his groove-led sound through residencies at Club Room Santiago and MISA Peru, while releases on VIVa MUSiC, Circus Recordings and Repopulate Mars have pushed his name well beyond South America.

With The Martinez Brothers, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola and more already backing his music, Martinz is clearly making the kind of drum-led tackle that travels from dark rooms to big-system festival stages without losing its bite.

‘Terminator’ keeps things rolling with tight percussion, swung hats and a growling synth line that sits right in the chest. No messing about. Just pressure, movement and that peak-time bite SB Recordings does so well. On the flip, ‘Drop It Heavy’ goes deeper into the groove, working slick rap vocals, hypnotic rhythms and a bassline made for late-night damage.

We’re premiering JB Martinz’s ‘Terminator’ today on Data Transmission. Listen below and grab the full EP on Beatport from 12th June.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
