Husko ‘Goodnight’ [Another Rhythm]

Share

Maltese-born DJ and producer, Husko returns with his soulful house sound with his latest single ‘Goodnight’.

After taking a step back to work on his style and reinvent his sound, Husko has come back with full force following the success of his recent EP ‘Dance Roots’. Husko has since been rapid growth with support from top-tier tastemakers and DJ’s from the likes of Annie Mac, Dennis Sulta and Amine Edge.

‘Goodnight’ sees Husko produce an infectious soulful house/nu-disco-leaning track driven by funk styled piano chords and a bassline that would make Daft Punk proud. Husko has crafted a disco banger that will get anybody moving so much that, prior to its release, it has already been spun by Sarah Story on her Radio 1’s Future Dance show.

Only a year into his return, Husko has signed tracks to dance label heavyweights such as Toolroom Records, Glasgow Underground and Cuff, showcasing Husko’s bright musical future. His most recent collaboration with A/P has been in Dennis Sulta’s set list for the past few months whilst receiving support on BBC Radio 1 through Annie Mac’s radio show. With a schedule of releases on the scene’s most exciting imprints coming out in the near future, 2022 is shaping up to be Husko’s best year yet.

Speaking on the new single, Husko states: “The idea of Goodnight came back in the middle of lockdown. I really wanted to create something that reminded me of those sunny day parties, something everyone would vibe to. The hook feels familiar even if you never heard the original sample and that is exactly what I was going for!”
