Heymac drops new single on Bay 6 Recordings

Share

Hailing from Edmonton in Canada, Heymac is a fresh new talented Drum & Bass producer, who has supported the likes of Pola & Bryson, Nu:Tone, Technimatic, Spectrasoul, Breakage and many more.

Heymac is known to be about beautiful emotive music that represents himself in a sombre manner. With influences from Etherwood, Maya Jane Coles and Porter Robinson, his take on liquid drum and bass focuses on being emotive with soundscapes and orchestral elements.

Hot off the heels of his last track ‘Eye Of Light’ which was released on the mighty ProgRAM, Bay 6 Recordings present us with 2 fresh slices of sublime liquid drum & bass, laden with beautiful melodies and masterful synth work.

On the A-side, we have ‘Night Garden’ which sets the scene for the track with ethereal pads that slowly build into the classic Drum & Bass drop, with punchy drums, serene piano melodies and gorgeously warm bass.

On the flip is our premiere ‘Ode To What Was’ which is the more breakbeat-orientated track of the single. It takes catchy synth melodies, crisp production and crunchy basswork and combines them into one incredibly smooth liquid roller.

Check out ‘Ode To What Was’ below. The single drops on Bay 6 on 22nd May and will be available to buy from here
