EROZ is back on Nervous Records with ‘La Chaap’, and this one carries a bit of weight.
The Monterrey producer returns after five years away from music, stepping back into the studio with a record built straight for the floor. No overthinking. Just groove, pressure and that low-end Latin swing that does the damage in basements, backrooms and late festival slots.
EROZ has already picked up support from Solardo, Mau P, Cloonee, Paco Osuna, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Mark Knight and plenty more, with releases across Toolroom, Nervous, Bunny Tiger, Audio Rehab and Delicious Recordings.
That time away seems to have sharpened the focus rather than slowed him down. ‘La Chaap’ feels like a producer reconnecting with the room, locking back into the drums, the bass and the simple pleasure of making something that works when the lights are low and the system is warm.
For ‘La Chaap’, he also brings in J.V.O., one of the rising Latin names worth watching, who adds a fresh lift to the package.
A proper comeback record with a club purpose.
