Defraction drops 2 track single on Lost The Plot

Kicking off the new year with a new face for the roster, Lost The Plot welcomes Bristol-based producer Defraction to the ranks, with his 2 track single: ‘Insight’ and B side ‘Mönch’ featuring Creatures. While Defraction is a new name to work with the label, he is a familiar face within the Drum & Bass network, having performed killer DJ sets around the UK for many years. He has supported Randall, Dillinja, Bryan Gee, Philth Roni Size and DJ Krust to name a few! He’s also released music on Lifestyle Music, Lost Recordings and Lockdown Recordings and more.

Defraction had a powerful year of production last year and his new single sets the precedent for more great work to come from this producer at the turn of the decade.

On this new release the A side ‘Insight’ is classic Lost The Plot vibes, with murky sub-bass drones and progressing and eerie bass stabs that screams for a wheel up. The collaborative B side and our premiere today, ‘Mönch’ maintains the dark tones of the title track, but with the extra rolling “Creatures effect” applied to bring up the pace. This rounded release is the perfect kick-off to the year, and we hope to hear much more of this from Defraction through 2020 and beyond!
