DANN steps up with ‘Make Us Wanna Dance’

Share

Amsterdam’s rising groove mechanic DANN steps up with a fresh one, tipping his hat to House and UKG on his new M1-soaked weapon ‘Make Us Wanna Dance’.

This one hits that sweet spot between sample-led House and proper UKG bounce. Sharp two-step drums, a warm M1 organ pumping through the mix, and enough swing to light up any basement or barbershop rave. It’s a clear line to the sounds he loves, from Interplanetary Criminal to Dr Banana and Silva Bumpa, but still stamped with DANN’s own flavour.

If you know his work in the city, you know he’s more than a producer. DANN is the mind behind CLOSECALL, the renegade event series turning unexpected corners of Amsterdam into dancefloors.

Barber chairs pushed aside, train stations humming, block parties running late, Skatecafé going off. It’s become a proper community hub, a meeting point for DJs, producers, and heads who want the real thing without any gatekeepers.

And that’s the energy running through ‘Make Us Wanna Dance’.

It’s tight, it’s warm, it’s built for connection, and it carries that analogue-tinged aesthetic he brings to everything he touches.

With more releases incoming and CLOSECALL events landing across Amsterdam, London and the EU, DANN isn’t just building tunes, he’s building a movement.

DANN plays Parallel Amsterdam on 5th December w/ Yung Singh & Ryota.

We premiere it below and grab it here.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
