Creatures and Defex release on Lost The Plot

Since launching in 2015 D&B Lost the Plot has grown from their place as an established events brand into what it is today. They’ve had DJs like Maztek, Xtrah, Emperor, Insideinfo, Stealth, The Clamps, Akov, Neonlight and many more for their Bristol club nights. Three years later, they decided to dedicate the same ethics and hard-working ethos into building a label. It would be one that would showcase the neuro and tech-infused vibes which were prevalent throughout their UK parties.
Their aim was to provide a platform for the next generation of darkly driven music and its producers. This resulted in them releasing a variety of singles and EPs as well as Various Artist compilations, helping them to find their place within the thriving dance music market. Bringing through the producers who are building their own foundations within the contemporary market, they’ve relished in the music which has hit their inbox. The forthcoming single from Creatures and Defex being a perfect example of the standards they’ve reached.

UK based Creatures is revered for his consistency and the fresh sounds he’s brought to the drum & bass genre. Still, only in his early twenties, his unique approach has caught the ears of many tastemakers, including S.P.Y, Rene LaVice and Drumsound & Bassline Smith. His catalogue is just as impressive, boasting tracks on Delta9, In:Deep and Lifestyle Music.
Likewise, the arsenal of Defex is a heavy hitting one, with music on Limitless, Technique and Lockdown. And he returns to Lost the Plot alongside Creatures with ‘Low Rider’ and ‘Retribution’.
‘Low Rider’ is the first of two tracks, with slapping snares and a bassline that zips between its core. The pair merge their formidable production standards and deliver a track which is sure to cut through any speaker stack with absolute precision. Next up comes our premiere ‘Retribution’, taking on the same hard-lined sounds and levels which are demonstrated throughout its forerunner. On top of clunking percussion and slabs of bass, both Creatures and Defex take you back into the deep end. Together, they indicate what else is to come from Lost the Plot. And that’s more music of an intimidating calibre.
Check out Creatures X Defex ‘Retribution’ below, it’s out on Lost The Plot on 29th August!
