Chico Rose (NL) & Baggi hit Hottrax with the club-ready ‘Beep Beep’

Share

Chico Rose (NL) and Baggi land on Hottrax for the first time on 3rd April 2026 with ‘Beep Beep’, and it does exactly what you want a record with that title to do.

Jamie Jones’ label keeps its 2026 run moving with a two-tracker built for the right kind of trouble. The pair have both done plenty on their own, Chico Rose off the back of cuts like ‘POM’ and his StoryStarters imprint, and Baggi with a catalogue that stretches across Desolat, Nervous and plenty more besides. Here, they lock in nicely.

The title track, Chico Rose and Baggi’s ‘Beep Beep’, is all twitchy percussion, rubbery low end and just enough vocal mischief to make it stick. It’s got that proper late-night swing to it, the sort of record that slips into a set and suddenly changes the temperature. No messing. Just groove.

On the flip, ‘Take A Little Trip’ takes things a shade deeper. Still rolling, still driving, but with a hazier edge that gives the EP a bit more stretch. It rounds the package out well and keeps the momentum intact without repeating the trick.

As the pair put it, this one was born in Ibiza from “a simple idea, pure groove, and that late-night energy”. Fair enough. You can hear it. This is a neat, no-frills club weapon from two producers who know exactly what they’re doing.

Chico Rose (NL) & Baggi’s ‘Beep Beep’ EP drops via Hottrax on 3rd April 2026.
