My Techno Weighs A Ton announces the second instalment of ‘West Coast Weighs A Ton’ is about to land.
The compilation is 6 tracks of west coast-influenced house & techno curated by label A&R NiQW. The previous West Coast Weighs A Ton release was a successful one. No doubt this second version will be just as heavy-hitting. It features Old and new artists for My Techno Weighs A Ton, together on a compilation of timeless dance music.
Fritz Carlton & Ghostea bring in a heavy rolling bass and a memorable synth line with signature crunchy drums and a vocal cut to perfection with “Now You Wit Em”. Kyle Zuck & Hypside’s “I Tried” is a classic tech house heater with an irresistible hook that lingers in your mind well after hearing the track. MTWAT mainstay Dipzy & Strictly Bizness’ “Robosoul” is the weird and nasty one of the pack with a “cat walking on a synth” sounding lead over a perfect pocket of a groove and fun vocals. Newcomer Twippy hit’s the ball out of the park with a fun tech house piece names “Housewife”. Colin Thomas’ label entry “6 Hours” is a jacking masterpiece with a vocal line that’s every self-respecting DJ’s recurring nightmare, “can you play something with a bassline?”.
They’ve had their ears locked in for Andre Salmon and Kricked for a while and they’ve created a killer track that will dust up every single dance floor it hits, called “Wiibble” for a reason. We premiere ‘Wiibble’ for you today, check it out below and grab it here.
