Alvaro AM returns to Swerve Digital with his ‘Mi Patio’ EP

The next release on Swerve Digital comes via renowned Spanish artist, Alvaro AM. Following on from his feature on their ‘Genesis-5’ VA and a spate of releases on the likes of Deeperfect, Dark Side of The Sun, VIVa Limited and more.

The Madrid native drops in with a two-track offering to mark his full debut on the label. The label says “His ‘Mi Patio’ EP perfectly encapsulates our signature sonic blueprint, and we are delighted to share it with you!”

First up, the title track features ample amounts of punch and watertight percussive factors. The rippling sizzle of crisp hat grooves that rattle of its subtle percs creates narrow, driving beats that offer space for an array of melodic components to orbit around it. The arpeggiation of dreamy synths gives the track a bright and vivid colour, which is cleverly dissected by the sawing of an acid baseline tactically throughout. Floaty, but with substantial clout; an insatiably appealing and uplifting deep house cut from the Spaniard.

Making up the release, ‘You N Me’ cuts a more stripped-back and progressive trajectory. Again with light and otherworldly melodic elements, it champions atmospheric space from the outset. Another driving number with more focus this time on the lower frequencies without being overbearing. Hollowed out to create space for the several intertwined analogue harmonic modulations that exist within it, it’s pace and energy from start to finish will leave you yearning for more minutes on the dancefloor with your eyes closed.
