Acid Kids are next on Tom Frankel’s Shellers Label

The recently launched Shellers imprint returns for Vol.2 in the series of limited vinyl runs with a line up of friends and hotly tipped newcomers joining label owner Tom Frankel, seeing an increased run moving from 50×10″ dubs on Vol.1, to a run of 200×12″ on Vol.2.

Acid Kids are a DJ/Producer duo hailing from North West London with a passion for great music and good people. They were brought up on Acid House, Soul, Disco, Funk and that new wave romantic sound from an early age which inspired them to implement that through their own productions.

They are avid vinyl collectors which see lots of diverse music in their record collections that they are constantly adding too! They are A&R label managers and resident DJ’s for the brand Dazéd London. Which often sees them playing peak time slots then getting in amongst the action on the dance floor. This is the B1, ‘Slappa’ from Acid Kids who’ve been making waves recently with a mountain of tracks appearing from their hard graft in the studio, earning them the attention of labels such as Dutch powerhouse PIV who they released the huge ‘Dimples’ with, plus also recent releases with Rendr Records and Metafloor.

The EP which also features tracks from Dayne Harper and Ollie Rant & Takjacob is available to pre-order now from the SHELLERS Bandcamp on limited hand-stamped, hand-numbered vinyl with digital download included / available separately.

We premiere on ‘Slappa’ on Data Transmission today, check it out here and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
