We’d heard great things about this exclusive event, so not long after breakfast we donned our glitziest party attire, jumped in a cab and headed straight down to the venue at the oh so civilised time of midday.

As we arrived at the striking and sophisticated hotel, we were greeted by a big queue of party goers.  As there are no tickets on the door for this event they all had pre-purchased tickets and were quickly ushered in to start their afternoon soiree making it rammed from the offset. We wasted no time in kicking off our day with Espresso martinis as the party fully swung into action, with Billy Cocks and George Goodson warming us up with the sounds of some proper House classics, such as Lil Louis – ‘French Kiss’ creating a truly Ibiza type vibe.

We were delighted to find a very glamorous dressed up, happy and friendly older crowd, with a serious abundance of lovely ladies drinking cocktails with us before hitting the dance floor, where a sea of arms were wildly flying in the air and more House anthems like Solu Music featuring Kimblee ‘Fade’, Alison Limericks ‘Where Love Lives’ and the biggest tune of the day, Blaze featuring Barbara Tucker ‘Precious Love’, all being dropped by residents Steve Lee and Jesse James.

We couldn’t help but be seriously impressed by the overall vibe all day and it made a lovely change to have more ladies than men in the venue from the general boy heavy tech nights we go to.

The promoter, who’s conveniently named Jack, tells us his day job is working at the offices next door, and when he came across this venue he immediately thought it would be utterly perfect to put on a daytime party there,  so Jack Your Body was born.   This is truly a party that’s based all around the uplifting music, the crowd and the venue and not about the big name DJ, it’s all for ‘the love of music’ he says, it’s a place for his friends to party who don’t necessarily want to go to a dark dingy club anymore, and we think his idea of taking it back to the basics of ‘the party’, is simply the way the best parties are made, and this little gem is no exception, it truly has a great vibe, great view and great tunes to give you a daytime alternative to that dark night time warehouse vibe.

So, if you’re looking for a daytime dance in a wonderfully beautiful setting in the heart of London, with a stylish up for it crowd, then Jack Your Body Ldn will be right up your street. With a stunning panoramic backdrop across London, the Rumpus Room on the 12th floor of the Mondrian Hotel on the South bank provides a unique place to party.

Tickets are like gold dust for this cool daytime gathering, and they’ve even got their first party on the white isle at The Beach Star in Ibiza coming up on the 21st July, but before that their next London party is on 2nd June and they always sell out well in advance – check out their Facebook page for further details: https://www.facebook.com/jackyourbodyldn/
