Riverwest Music Festival

The first ever house music productions were by Chicago-based artists in the 1980s. Artists such as Jesse Saunders and the late and great Frankie Knuckles helped curate the House Music movement stemming from the decline of disco music. Chicago developed the “underground scene” in houses, garages, and clubs to bring you the ever-present House grooves of today.

This 4th of July weekend, Chicago is the place to be bringing you back to the roots displaying newcomers to the scene and those who have assisted in the culmination. Riverwest Music Festival delivers a first-class line-up exhibiting the world’s leading electronic music artists. The final phase commences with the inclusion of Loco Dice and The Martinez Brothers as well as 40 additional artists over three days. From July 4th to July 6th, Riverwest will take place across three stages extending along a mile of riverfront property of Elston between Division and Chicago Avenue.

World superstar DJ and Producer Loco Dice has not played in Chicago for over a year, his signature style and sound is highly anticipated and will be a treat to witness in the Windy City. House and Techno connoisseurs can also see artists such as Art Department, Bob Moses, Damian Lazarus, Dubfire, Dixon, Heidi, Guy Gerber, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Lee Burridge, Lee Foss, Steve Lawler, Ten Walls, Matador, Paul Ritch, The Martinez Brothers, Thugfucker, Three, Visionquest, legendary duo Deep Dish, and many more!

This is a festival not to be missed with a killer line-up that will appease the most demanding of music enthusiasts. Chicago is known as the mecca of House Music where it all began playing tribute to legends such as Derrick Carter, DJ Pierre, DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Felix Da Housecat, Jesse Saunders, and the one who started it all and who will always be missed – Frankie Knuckles
