The world-famous Red Bull Music Academy touches down at Fire in Vauxhall on Saturday March 16th for their first major London event of 2013 with a superb line up of sheer quality progressive electronic music featuring not one, not two but three major headliners including three RBMA lecturers: Mala, Martyn and Trevor Jackson.

Topping the bill is 3024 Records boss and Brainfeeder artist Martyn who’s unique brand of bass-driven music defies easy categorisation, mixing up tempos and genres to deliver an intricate and immersive sound.    Next up is one of the founding members of the dubstep sound Mala who will be performing an exclusive 4-hour set, the likes of which are rarely seen. Having recently released his Mala In Cuba album on Brownswood, he has been working with world-music legend Giles Peterson so expect a 4-hour sonic journey.   Detroit-native and Berlin resident Jimmy Edgar has been pushing the envelope of electronic music since the late 90’s building up a cult following for his sound with releases on Warp, K7, Items & Things, Non Plus and most recently, his fourth artist album Majenta on Hotflush.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
