Movement - Jamie Jones.jpg  What We Learned

Each year we see many performances from many artists that move us and take us on an odyssey of sound. However, once that pilgrimage is made into the promise land, they are heard through a new set of ears.  The heart of electronic music beats here, it is truly momentous – an indescribable organic feeling that infects each and every person who is fortunate enough to experience the camaraderie and genuine respect that is evident the moment you cross the city limits. Hotel concierges, local business owners, cab drivers, and liquor store clerks are all happy to school us on the musical history of the mecca.  We have been welcomed to enter their stomping grounds and luckily for us this welcoming is expressed through the most epic, life-changing musical arrangements we may have ever feasted our hungry ears on…well at least until next year.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
