Have you ever turned on the radio and a song has come on that perfectly complimented the mood you were in? Well now Neurowear claim to have invented a set of headphones that exactly that; in that they can select music for you that reflects your current mood. Neurowear’s Mico (which stands for ‘music inspiration from your sub-consciousness’) headphones, say that Mico works by sensing patterns in your brainwaves and then relays this gathered information to a dedicated app which will then process this data and then play suitable music that will fit your mood.

The company explains: “Mico release the user from the need to choose the artists and songs. The device reads brain activity sensors, and the application automatically starts playing the music that best suits your mood.”

The headphones were unveiled at the SXSW festival this year. Check out the video below to see how it works.
