Established in 2012 by producer buddies Georgeous and Moliner, the Madrid based label Depaart  has quickly earned a reputation as a reliable outlet for the more luscious, avant-garde end of the house and techno spectrum. Moliner’s latest effort epitomises the label’s liking for sultry strands too, with its many esoteric textures and quirky melodies forcing quite an impression.

The ‘As Become’ EP is littered with dexterous moments, but it’s the title track that shines brightest. A laid-back affair characterised by its swelling synths and all round summery disposition, it’s the sort of ethereal offering that’s sure to appease the Hot Creations crew especially.

Deep City Groove’s remix is a chunky house groover that cleverly keeps hold of the original’s groovy chords, while Spanish producer Guri brings matters down to their bare bones before he brings some faint pads and a forceful, more discordant kick to the table. Sexy stuff for sexy dancefloors.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
